Description

Lisobaki is a breed I made up, info below. As for now, this is my first Lisobaki character and his name is Lev (means "lion" in Russian). X3 Been practicing shading too, so I'm pretty proud of it. :B While not totally realistic, it's a good style and I hope I can keep up with it. XD

With the exception of myself, NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO REPRODUCE OR CREATE A LISOBAKI. O3O

Temperament/History: Lisobaki's in general are very intelligent, loyal, and protective. In the beginning, they were paired with noble women not only as companions, but as protectors. They were bred to be loyal and protective of their owners, but also with the strength to guard them if necessary. Due to this breeding and the breeds used to create the Lisobaki, while the general Lisobaki is a lively dog, they can be naturally wary of strangers. With the natural instinct to protect, they must have strong, constant training throughout their life and need good mental and physical exercise due to their high activity level.

That being, true to their origins of the Karelian Bear Dog, Lisobaki's do bark a lot, and if properly trained, can be aggressive which makes them an ideal alert and watch dog in the modern day world. Aside from taking on that particularly active role, Lisobaki's have high instinct, courage, drive, and endurance which makes them well suited to hunting and tracking; therefore they are commonly used in Schutzhund, working dogs, and occasionally obedience as true to their loyalty.

In general, Lisobaki's are active dogs. While good with kids, they are not necessarily a family dog. They require a firm hand, proper training, and regular exercise.
